Laurence Andries
What do HBO, Bravo, BET, and Tom Hanks have in common?
They are among the networks and stars who have recognized the creative talents of Laurence Andries. So have ABC, NBC, Fox, Showtime and more.
Larry’s credit list reads like the resumé of a big-time Hollywood producer: Supernatural, Boomtown, Six Feet Under, Alias, Medical Investigation, and more. And that’s because Larry is a big-time Hollywood producer and writer – one whose work has been nominated for Emmys and Oscars, and one who is anxious to work with you.
“When I was a starving aspiring writer – eating ramen and cereal for dinner while hiding from the landlord – I hung on every word from professionals who were living the life I so wanted,” Larry says. “Now, in my small way, I get to be the person who gives the advice. It gratifies me to know that I may be the firm yet understanding voice that helps someone else live the life they so wanted.”
As Join the Workshop tours the country, Larry will be providing direct, expert feedback to actors and actresses from the point of view of a professional who makes a living creating shows. He’ll also be on the lookout for talent that might fit on one of his upcoming projects.
Larry is currently in the process of launching a Bravo series called “Blueprint,” which is a comedic drama about two best friends who run an upscale Manhattan architecture and design firm. When the reality-based network decided to add scripted programming to its lineup, it turned to Larry.
So has BET, where Larry is also developing their first scripted series. Tom Hanks’ company tapped Larry to be one of the writers for “The Pacific,” the companion miniseries to “Band of Brothers” which premieres on HBO March 14th. This summer, Larry’s full-length feature, “Bridge and Tunnel” begins production.
Rarely do aspiring actors and actresses get a chance to work with someone like Larry Andries. When Join the Workshop comes to your town, you’ll get that opportunity. Sign up, get ready to work hard and make the most of it!
